CATHERINE REEF TO RECEIVE THE CHILDREN'S BOOK GUILD NONFICTION AWARD
The Children's Book Guild of Washington, D.C., has announced that Catherine Reef will be its 2020-2021 Nonfiction Award winner. Presented annually since 1977, the award recognizes an author or author-illustrator "whose total work has contributed significantly to the quality of nonfiction for children." Writes Liane Rosenblatt, chair of the selection committee, "Through dozens of nonfiction books for young adults and middle school students, Reef has produced a body of distinguished and award-winning work, notable for impeccable research, insightful interpretations and writing that keeps readers engaged."
